Texas Turkey Hunting

Texas turkey hunting provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy a two day break at our comfortable ranch, and gives hunters of all skill levels the chance to pick up some excellent specimens along the way.

When you come Texas turkey hunting with us, you’ll be thrown straight into the middle of some awe-inspiring countryside that serves to add to the drama of the occasion. Our ranch is in the middle of hundreds of acres of glorious Texas countryside that sees the Middle Concho River run through its entirety.

Your party will really enjoy the open nature of some glorious rolling plains as well as taking on the challenge of numerous creeks and draws. Texas turkey hunting is given an incredibly competitive feel by the sizeable amount of brush that we have on location and these provide some fantastic cover for our hunters during the course of the trip.

Our turkeys are also prone to seeking refuge in our massive wheat field and, once again, this particular terrain will offer some excellent shooting points while hunting.

Elsewhere, fully-grown cedars and mesquite trees add some dense forestry to the location and all of our previous guests agree that there are very few areas that can compete with the vast assortment of hunting landscapes that our Texas turkey hunting trips are able to provide.

Throughout the ranch, there are a series of carefully-placed stands available to hunters that are baited by spinning corn feeders and these are specifically designed to entice turkeys into the area and feed. Once located, the stand will provide hunters with the ideal shot and every hunter will be able to bag two turkeys during the course of their stay and as part of the price of the package. For those who wish to save some energy until the evening, there is also a shuttle service provided that takes hunters directly to the stands themselves.

Naturally, additional turkeys can be taking for a nominal addition to the original cost of your Texas turkey hunting trip. All of our turkeys are of the Rio Grande variety and these provide wonderful specimens for photo opportunities as well as prizes.

One great advantage that our Texas turkey hunting trips offer is the unlimited number of opportunities to take on some of our small game and there’s a huge number of different species to be found. Although the elusive kill of a mountain lion might not present itself to everybody, the chances are most definitely there. Additionally, our location offers some superb javelina pigs and a large number of bobcats as well. To complete the challenge, there are also an abundant number of red and grey foxes to be seen too!

All of our Texas turkey hunting trips are spring turkey expeditions and although we don’t yet offer a fall hunting alternative, these superb birds are still available all year round and can be taken as part of any of our other packages for an additional fee.

Once your hunt has finished, where better to retire than our comfortable lodge where a relaxing and friendly welcome is guaranteed? Our package is for a two day minimum stay and covers hunts and accommodation only. However, our ranch is becoming somewhat famous for the wonderful home-style meals that we have to offer and many of our previous visitors have said that these are worth the price of a Texas turkey hunting trip on their own! Meals can be added to the cost of your stay at any time.
